"but is only ~3x heavier than the average trained male" – the keyword here is "trained". I'm currently working out literally the minimal possible amount (at home), but this already makes me more visibly strong than a lot of peers. So, the principle kinda works here too a bit :)

true! i wasn't super sure on what the untrained male could deadlift though, but would also assume it's at least a plate on each side (135lb total?), so overall still < 10x. Close though!
